The University of Thessaly (UTH) brings strong academic expertise and applied research capacity in smart cities and communities, digital transformation, and vocational education. UTH has led key EU projects such as SmartDevOps, CRISIS, and openDCO, developing innovative curricula and occupational profiles for smart city professionals. With extensive experience in curriculum design, piloting, and certification, UTH will lead the development and validation of long-term training programmes and the certification framework in SMARCO. Its interdisciplinary team ensures robust implementation and sustainability of smart community skills strategies across Europe.
