Smart with a heart
Founded in 2015, Nordic Edge is a non-profit innovation company and Norway’s national competence hub for smart and sustainable city development. We bring together public and private stakeholders, academia, and citizens to co-create better cities and communities for the future.
As the host of two Nordic business clusters – Smart City and Smart Agritech – we foster innovation across sectors and geographies. We also manage Innoasis, a dynamic co-working space and innovation arena in Stavanger, designed to accelerate collaboration and real-world impact.
Guided by our philosophy, “Smart with a heart,” we work through our members and partners to build a greener, more inclusive, and future-ready society.
Nordic Edge’s mission is to be the epicenter of the Nordic Smart City ecosystem – driving innovation, creating new business opportunities, and enabling knowledge-based jobs that support the green and digital transition of cities and communities.
With over a decade of experience, Nordic Edge has built a strong Nordic network across public and private sectors and academia. As a non-profit innovation hub, we facilitate collaboration and create trusted arenas for testing and learning. In SMARCO, we bring in Nordic SMEs and municipalities to co-develop future-fit training programmes. We also host Nordic Edge Expo – a European impact conference that gathers changemakers from across the continent. Our role ensures that Nordic voices are heard, local needs are reflected, and project outcomes have real-world relevance. We connect the European stage to local innovation – and bring back knowledge, tools, and influence to our members.
